Who we are

Contact: Wait Out is made by Warfighter Studio, the games studio of Warfighter Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14400049. Warfighter Digital Ltd is the data controller for this website. You can reach us about anything in this notice at team@warfighter.studio.

What we collect, and why

If you join the mailing list we store your email address, the date and time you joined, and a copy of the consent wording you agreed to. We use it for one purpose: to send you occasional news about Contact: Wait Out. We do not ask for your name or anything else.

If you email us, we will have your email address and whatever you tell us, and we use it to reply.

Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers briefly process technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to send you the page and keep the service secure. We do not use that information to identify you.

What we do not do

No advertising trackers. No tracking cookies. No selling, renting or sharing of the mailing list with anyone. No profiling and no automated decisions about you. The site sets no cookies and loads its fonts from our own domain rather than from a third party.

Our lawful basis

For the mailing list, your consent, given by ticking the box on the sign-up form. You can withdraw it at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it: use the removal form on this page or email us. For replying to your emails and keeping the site secure, our legitimate interests in running the website and answering the people who contact us.

How long we keep it

Your mailing list entry is kept until you remove yourself or ask us to remove you. We review the list at least once a year, and we will close it and delete it no later than twelve months after the game's final release unless you have agreed to hear about something else from us. Emails you send us are kept for as long as the conversation needs and no longer than two years.

Who else handles it

The website and the mailing list database are hosted for us by Lovable (Lovable Labs Incorporated, United States) and the infrastructure providers it uses, acting as our processors under a data processing agreement. This means your email address may be stored or processed outside the United Kingdom. Where it is, the transfer is covered by the UK addendum to the standard contractual clauses in that agreement. Nobody else receives your data unless the law requires us to disclose it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Email team@warfighter.studio and we will act on it within one month. It is free.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

The mailing list is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please do not sign up.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date below. If the change is significant and you are on the mailing list, we will tell you by email.
